A packaging redesign for leave-in hair conditioner, made to address both retail and user pain points.
The enlarged embossed logo optimizes brand recognition in retail space, while the dual dispenser gives users flexibility in application. The steps design on the bottle is a highlight, bringing out the sophistication of the brand and increases friction for the grip-ability.
Design Process
This is my first packaging design thinking of a 3d object in terms of shapes instead of faces (boxes). It was challenging at first to fully visualize all the details in my head and in sketches.
I learned that making prototypes with hand (clay or foam) really helps me discover the possibilities of details and shapes, even if they’re not the most perfect-looking sculpture, it is a process to contemplate and experiment with the design.
